I had this photo on my mind, I dont even know how long, must have been couple of months at least. Finally last week I pushed myself to get out to the city for the evening. I wanted a photo from  the top of the steps of the Opera House pointing my camera at the city as it lights up for the evening.

I came quite early about 30 minutes before the sunset and stayed for about 1.5 hour to get the night shot. Although I did get some dark shots with the city properly lit, I wont be using them as the others are much more interesting.
