Equitana Sydney 2011 (part 1 of 2)- Obstathon Singles Driving Championship

Here is a gallery of just a few photographs I took at the Equitana 2011 in Sydney. This was one of the first events I have seen at the Equitana show.

Here is a short description of what this event represents:

The Obstathon driving contest is similar to the World Cup Driving Championship. Any horse or pony with the right temperament can take part in this exciting sport, and different breeds compete against each other. The course is combination of both cone driving and marathon obstacles, which are two components of combined driving: driving’s answer to eventing.
The competitor who navigates the cones course and successfully completes the obstacles course in the shortest amount of time wins.
